Almost everyone in the world knows how to play the traditional game of Bingo. It seems to have been around forever, and even young children can grasp the concept. Many of today’s teachers even use it in school, because it teaches youngsters how to recognize numbers and gain good listening skills. Thanks to the amazing technology offered today, one can play Bingo from the comfort of their own home with just the aid of a computer and Internet service.

It is a good idea to search the Internet for a website that offers free online bingo and give it a try before delving in and spending your hard earned cash! There are a number of sites that will let you choose a username and play for free. By doing this, you are going to gain experience at how the game goes online without taking a chance of loosing your money before you grasp the concept of online play. For example, you need to see how fast the game goes online and learn the different patterns you might be looking for. Of course, you don’t actually win any real prizes or cash when you play this way, but it is a great way to get the hang of playing online bingo.

In a traditional bingo game there are 5 columns and 5 rows on a Bingo card, with the middle space being a “free space”. The normal goal is to get 5 called numbers which form either a diagonal or straight line. But…to be a die-hard online bingo player, one must know a little more that that! There are postage stamp patterns in the corner of a card, plus signs (which looks just like a plus sign), and whole card bingo where you cover the entire card. It is important to know which pattern you are going for when playing bingo online! Once you understand the basics of recognizing patterns on the bingo card, you are well on your way to playing online bingo.

Remember when playing online bingo, the system will automatically call “Bingo” if you’ve won. You don’t need to pay close attention to the numbers being called unless your working on a strategy. Most players just listen or even chat during the game. Alternatively, you can play scratch cards during a game in you prefer. However, the chat room just exposes during a game- its very exciting.

After you have practiced on a free site and when you feel you have enough experience to play with your own money, simply log on to a site that looks interesting to you and sign up to play. You will be required to give the site your personal information as well as your banking or credit card information. This information is only used by the site and will not be passed onto any third parties. As with any type of online prize or gambling system, you must follow the tax laws the government has set forth on any major winnings. After you have done this step, you are ready to play!

You might even be someone that goes from site to site collecting the bonuses that are available at each of the sites before moving on and then coming back later when the reload bonuses are offered. There is nothing wrong with this lifestyle, as long as you know how to maximize the potential bonuses that you can pull down. This is where many people end up losing something because of the fact that the bonuses they collect are not the best potential bonuses on the block. Some bonuses are only unlocked by online poker bonus codes and those codes can do a lot of things to the average online poker bonus.

Increased Amount

One of the most common things that a bonus code will do to a poker bonus is to increase the amount that you can get in the bonus. As an easy example, if a particular poker site offered a poker bonus worth 100% up to $100, the poker bonus code that the website gave out might change the bonus to 100% up to $150 or 100% up to $200. This means that if you deposited more money into your account, you would end up with more money overall. Bonus codes will greatly increase the amount of money you get from online poker bonuses as they can increase a typical deposit bonus anywhere from 25% up to 1000% depending on the poker site you visit.

Increased Percentage

If a poker bonus code does not increase the actual amount of the bonus that you can earn, they might actually end up increasing the percentage instead. For example, in the same example as given above, the deposit bonus is still 100% up to $100. A poker bonus code that operates under increased percentage principles however might make that bonus 150% up to $100 or even 200% up to $100, allowing you to deposit a smaller amount of money in order to get the same bonus. This increased percentage code is good for starting bonus collectors because it allows them to go after larger bonus deals a lot sooner than they otherwise would be able to.

Decreased Release Requirements

The last thing that an online poker bonus code might do for you is to decrease the overall release requirements that the poker bonuses comes with. In the same example with a 100% up to $100 bonus, the release requirement might be that you play 20 raked hands per dollar of bonus. However, when you input the code it might change the requirements to 10 raked hands per dollar or even 5 raked hands per dollar. In essence, these types of codes take a particular requirement and make it easier to fulfill. These particular online poker bonus codes are very good for bonus collectors because it allows them to release poker bonuses quicker and therefore also allows them to do more bonuses in the same amount of time.

The poker player information is not really relevant to winning a poker tournament, so it is perhaps understandable that people would not follow it. However, an argument can be made that this news is indeed important and that it is indeed very important to follow it. This argument would be backed up by a few very interesting reasons, some of which are discussed below.

Information

In general terms, the more information you have, the better off you are. While some people would argue that poker news might be relevant in some areas, online poker gossip could not possibly be interesting in terms of information gathering. Even if it is not about the personal lives of poker players, it could still be about acquisitions and appearances at particular tournaments of famous poker players and while that information is interesting, is it really relevant?

The argument can be made that this information can and is very relevant. Knowing what is going on with the best poker players in the world will allow you to schedule your tournaments so that you avoid as many of them as possible. This type of information, even though it is sleazy, can also allow you to keep your mind focused on poker. The more your mind stays focused on poker, the less your mind is wandering and the better you will play when you get into a poker tournament. For these two reasons, information is a very good argument in favor of following the news.

Ammunition

Another reason to follow poker news and online poker gossip is the fact that it will help you against the people you are playing. After all, if you want to win the best poker tournaments in the world, you are going to have to go through the best poker players in order to get there. If you know what is going on with those players in their personal lives and in their professional lives, you might be able to use that information to get the players to make mistakes. Chiding a player about a tournament they just lost or getting them to talk about a particularly emotional moment in their life is the same as taking their attention off their game and placing it somewhere where it can not hurt you. If you can do this to a player then you automatically gain an advantage over them and if that is not a persuasive argument in favor of following the news, nothing is.

Conclusion

Whether you actually end up following the poker news or not, at the very minimum you should be paying attention to what is going on in the professional world of poker. If you do not do this at a minimum, you are really missing out. Once you have the professional world covered, you can then go back and start taking a look at other poker news and online poker gossip.

Omaha, as a game with poker rules similar to Texas Holdem, has long been a smash hit in Europe. Many people believe that Omaha poker is the next logical step in the poker craze. People have gotten used to Texas holdem poker and may be looking for something new.

The proliferation of Internet poker sites makes finding an Omaha opponent easy, and even makes heads-up Omaha a possibility. If you find yourself playing Omaha heads-up, you’re going to really have to be on your game to emerge victorious. Here are some important concepts to think about when playing Omaha one on one.

Play Every Hand

You don’t actually have to play every single hand, but you should be playing most of them. Unlike in a full ring Omaha game, where you need to be extremely selective about which hands you enter a pot with because there are so many possibilities out there against you, in heads-up, it is unlikely that your hand is a big underdog to your opponent’s hand, no matter how bad it looks. Furthermore, since you will probably be playing a pot-limit structure, your opponent will not be able to raise enough to get you out of a hand before the flop (unless you are playing a tournament with rising blinds, in which case this is a possibility).

Give Your Hands More Credit

In a full ring Omaha game, a ten-high flush has little chance to win, because nearly all the cards of your suit have been dealt out, and there is a great chance that the jack, queen, king or ace (or all of them) are in the hands of your opponents, meaning only one other card of that suit need be in their hand for them to beat you. Against a single opponent, exactly two of the only four cards out against you must be suited and better than your suited cards, which is much less likely. In a heads up game, you can bet your straights and flushes aggressively, even if they are not the nuts, and even if the board is paired.

Push Combination Hands

Hands that have multiple ways to win, like suited high cards and wrap straight draws, are of great value in heads up Omaha. You should play these hands aggressively. In many cases, you may actually be the favourite after the flop, even if the hand you currently hold cannot even beat ace high.

Fasten Your Seatbelt

With all the card combinations that arise in Omaha poker, the person who holds the best hand can literally change with the turn of every single card. Furthermore, the lead may change many times over the course of the match. Try to retain control of your emotions and ride the roller coaster with a cool demeanour, just looking for any edge that can tip the balance in your favour.

Holdem Tactics are Back in Play

Tactics that are not as effective in full ring Omaha such as bluffs and slow-plays are now back on the table, thanks to the reduced likelihood that one of your opponents is holding the nuts or close to it. Feel free to dust off those bluffing and trapping skills you learned in Texas holdem and use them to full effect in your heads up Omaha matches.

If you take all of the offline poker tournaments that happen in a year and add them together, some people have estimated that they would not equal the number of online poker tourneys that are played on Poker Stars, a single online website. While online tournaments can be very fun, they also have a very different flow than their offline counterparts and with this different flow comes a much different strategy. Here are some tips to keep in mind when playing in online tournaments.

Aggression

One of the biggest differences between a typical offline poker tournament and online poker tourneys is the fact that aggression is ramped up to almost ridiculous levels in online tournaments. People are aggressive to the point of being past what some would consider having normal survival instincts and because of that people tend to get themselves in trouble through aggression more often than not in online tournaments. As a famous poker announcer once quipped, people in online tournaments are great at accumulating chips but not so good at keeping them once they have them.

How do you put this to your advantage? Simple! You sit back and wait for very good hands and then when you get those big hands you push them with everything you have. This is a strategy that can be thought of as your normal strong-tight strategy on steroids because you are waiting for tighter hands and you are being more aggressive than you normally would be. You might be worried that your behavior will be plain to all at the table but you might actually be quite surprised at how little ultra aggressive players know about the people they are playing with. At least at the start of online poker tourneys you will get calls for your all-in moves regardless of what your table image happens to be.

Cost

When you play an offline poker tournament, what you are doing is actually sitting down at the table with a bunch of other people and putting down serious money in order to play a game of poker. Because the cost of the tournament is so much higher in the real world, you have a much higher connection to the buy-in you just made. You will do a lot more to protect that buy-in and so will the people you are playing.

In the online world however, things are completely different. The online Poker Tournaments of the world can sometimes have buy-ins that are less than a dollar and this is of course because of how cheap it is to run online poker tournaments. The cheapness of the tournament comes into it big time and feeds into the aggression, making the naturally more aggressive online player even more aggressive than they would normally be. Just one more reason to abandon your normal poker tournament strategy and play super tight and super strong in Online Poker Tourneys.
